In the year 2018 Belgrade international week of architecture BINA presented their current work, during its traditional festival month, on two international projects. Under the patronacy of Creative Europe, by its own active engagement, with broad cooperation of artists, private and public sector, BINA team has been devoted to establishing patterns and ways of constructive communication. The goal of this communication was collaborative and constructive participation in our city life. Bus Stop Facelift Project as a part of Future Architecture Platform. The objectives of the project were creative reconstructions of non functional Bus Stops in suburban part of Belgrade, one that carries specific social difficulties. One of the main goals was to functionally and formally equip bus stops for use and to do so by engaging all adequate actors. The result of this collaboration were 5 redesigned bus stops, each one specifically tailored and made according to projects of five architect authors from Europe. All this would not be possible without few months of BINA team research and preparation, cooperation with public services, private companies, local elementary school and emerging professionals from architecture field. Special mention goes to local people who supported our 5 public street workshops. Additional to this, one team of architects worked on the topic of bus stops as school children drawing and modeling task. During this special workshop the team pointed out to the importance of early education and creativity or in other words forming of an educated imagination of the youngest members of our society– future of our city. Shared Cities: Creative Momentum is a cultural program started together by partners from seven Central and South-East European countries. The goal of the project is an improvement of life in European cities. Connecting various aspects of culture of sharing and urban design, SCCM is developing new form of living in these areas. A shared one. SCCM considers cooperation and cooperative work of citizens, municipal, educational, cultural institutions and private companies. All partners are equally important. By initiating experimental urban hubs for improvement of shared public city spaces in cooperation with community, BINA seeks to study possibilities of self-proclaimed right to the city. Knowledge gained throughout the process will be used for developing a more active relation towards building up the city by citizens participation, as well as for making room for a more quality and more proactive approach towards policy making in the city of Belgrade.Text de prezentare a autorului
Our BINA team consists of core organization and our associates who all have a same goal of improving the quality of life in our living environment. Through organizing of cultural-artistic content with an accent on architecture, we draw attention of professional public as well as large numbers of wider audience. Projects in which we engage have, other than their physical architectural-artistic shape, a side that is not so easy to spot, the side that has positive impact on our collective thought. Our projects emphasize a vast importance of these non material values. In other words we acknowledge the holistic quality of each project and our wish is to have audience recognize it and acknowledge as well. We believe that nurturing the culture of architecture and art can vastly contribute to the quality of our everyday life. Our core team members are Danica Jovović-Prodanović, Jelena Ivanović-Vojvodić, Ružica Sarić, Tatjana Vukoasvljević, Natalija Jovanović and Aleksandar Kotevski.
