Project description
“Blue Moon” is a specific and personal relationship formed between objects people and landscape. It is in fact a sort of reference system that can be considered both universal and individual at the same time. The moon has the role to remind, to put in perspective and proportion. Dealing with the task at hand, the goal of this project was to attempt to instrumentalise the relationship between us and “it”, between the Earth and the Moon - a perpetually changing landscape that is above all visual in nature. Mathematically speaking, this would be the organisation of common sense sense itself, not hidden behind the complexity of thechnological language. The subject matter of ebb and flow, the Earth and the Moon ie the Lost and the Found branches into so many directions that it is hard to accomplish the necessary compression of thematic matter. The origin and the rules of the the Solar System seemingly do not have a large impact on the life on Earth, but are nevertheless closely related with almost every question concerning the human condition. If what is lost is the light and its traces, then it is not really lost but is simply in a different timeline. Therefore, it is foremost a question of memory, be it a souvenir or something categorically inconceivable. Designing a certain sort of meta position in reference to the Earth and the Moon - in fact meant designing a “Luna Park” of sorts, in which the relationships are explored in the first person, a space in which the distance “between” is marginalised, to the point that the lunar landscape becomes once again a part of Earth, from where it originated. Finally, architecture is provided for the a kind of “re-exploration” of landscapes that have become alienated long time ago.
