POLYARK 5 | POLYAIR Workshop The project has been done as a part of the Polyark 5: Polyair initiative by Royal Institute of British Architects, University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture . Workshop aim to investigate the potentials of architectural infrastructure for activating the lowest layer of Earth’s atmosphere, and for claiming air as public good and public space. Five collaged images putted next to each other like a film sequences represent different atmospheres of future Island. d r e a m y … giving pleasure or contentment to the mind or senses (Merriam Webster Dictionary) … Can architects push themselves to depart from what the discipline traditionally acknowledged as architectural space in order to explore new territories that take into account the use of energy within an environment? The spatial framework is Grate War Island, natural reserve and the habitat of a large number of birds. Architectural sequences, each with a unique micro – climate are being implemented all around the island keeping the existing nature and upgrading it with the new one. The new island becomes a place of new atmospheres all connected with the new spirit and vocation of the island.Text description of the author
