Participatory project, deals with a context specific to the contemporary society: a post-industrial shrinking city, in search for a new identity. An urban regeneration project with a bottom-up approach which aims at a clear, limited impact. Through tactical urbanism interventions, it involves the relevant urban actors and external key stake-holders: urban regeneration specialists, artists, NGO representatives, representatives of the administration. Through this project, latent urban spaces are brought closer to the citizens and new functions, adapted to the contemporary exigency in contrast with conventional uses, are introduced. An experiment at an urban scale, it is a trial for new functions in the hypothesis of reconversion. The Mine street becomes an effervescent space on the 1st of May, setting a positive example.Text description of the author
