We will update this section as we receive questions.
Below, the questions and related answers, in the order of addressing:
Q1: For the graduation projects registration (category 4), do the projects have to be sent exactly as they have been handed out for the diploma exam or may they be modified (either at the solution or the representation level)?
/
A1: The architectural solution of a project submitted in the category 4.Graduation projects must coincide with the architectural solution that the participant submitted to the diploma exam. In this respect, no changes to the solution are accepted. As for representation, the participant will choose the most appropriate method for presenting the project: he / she may use the same pieces used for the diploma exam, may intervene on them, or may include new pieces of graphic representation. The projects submitted in the category 4.Graduation projects will follow the layout model provided by the organizers (LAYOUT 4).
Q2: Is it possible to participate with a diploma project that has been later modified at the level of graphical representation (e.g. new renderings, schemes), as long as the architectural solution remains the same?
/
A2: idem answer for question 1
Q3: I would have two questions concerning the registration:
3.1. You require the personal identification code (abc12) right at the registration phase. How can I apply for such a number? Apparently the registration and submitting is happening at the same time, in one phase, which is confusing.
3.2. Can I just register with some basic information (name, email), get the code, and upload the material afterwords, in a second phase? This time attaching the required architectural material as well (cannot upload images without code)
(did not want to try this second option in order not to lose the possibility of submitting any material)
/
A3: Each entry will be identified by an identification code consisting of 3 letters and 2 numbers chosen by the participant (e.g. ABC12, XYZ32, XOY00 etc.), which will be mentioned both in the file that contains the entry’s presentation, as well as in the registration form. For specific conditions, please refer to chapter 8 from the competition Rules. It should also be specified that there is no registration in advance, only submission of all requested materials.
Q4: I am a student of Architectural Engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering Subotica, University of Novi Sad. I have found information about the competition you are coordinating and I am interested to participate in the category Initiatives/ experiments/ visions in architecture. As an undergraduate student, I am not sure if I am eligible to participate in this or any other category. I would be grateful if you could provide me with an answer.
/
A4: For participating in the category Initiatives/ Experiments/ Visions in architecture either you have the right to practice in your country or you are organized in an NGO, representing civil society. For specific participation conditions, please read the competition Rules (see subchapter 3.3).
You can definitely participate in the category Architecture essays.
Q5: Can I apply with a diploma project that was not built? It is just a plan, not a real building.
If I can, should I mention my teachers like collaborators? Or, is it enough that they’r names are on every plan?
/
A5: You can apply with a diploma project that was not built and you can mention your teachers as collaborators.
Please keep in mind that you have to submit your project using a template provided by the organizers (LAYOUT 4) and that you have to present the project so that it is fully understood by the jury (using technical drawings, explanatory schemes, images, texts etc.). For all the conditions please consult the competition Rules.
