Project description

Usually, people associate a notary office with a functional space meant for solving dull legal problems, a place where you wouldn’t want to go, except for the times when you have to. We decided to change people’s perspective by making this notary office turn into a relaxing experience that plays with your senses while you wait for your papers to be legalized. The vibrating walls of solid wood, mixed with natural colours and mirrors that dilute the space, create a place of rhythm, inspired by the recurrence with which legal issues are solved and ordered, but also a place of elegance, thought for the clients but also for the people that work there. Thus the notary's visit gives clients a moment of respite from the daily life, and employees a pleasant, ergonomically efficient job that inspires positivity. A worthy fact to be mentioned, is that the project started before anything except the concrete slabs and the walls where made, giving us the chance to think a well-integrated solution fitted to the exact needs of our client, that included special layouts and finishes (eg bathrooms), free coil zones for the underfloor heating and reinforced areas for customized parts (eg. secret doors and reception desk), final position of sanitary items, light design and an ergonomic layout for the sockets and switches designed according to the needs of the office.

A.B.– 2014, Timisoara Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, graduate and former associate professor for 2 years at the same institution at the Interior and Furniture Design department. I made my first steps towards architecture during my study years, by my own and through different collaborations making contact with various architecture and interior design programs, gradually building my experience and portfolio so I can later develop my own brand named NOI studio. A brand focused on the rigor of project compliance, material knowledge, technical details and working methods of craftsmen - with whom we usually work close - but also focused on a personal relationship with our beneficiaries. A.T. – 2018, Timisoara Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, graduate. Looking for a possibility to work closely with craftsmen and beneficiaries, I started working together with arch. Alexandru Buftea during the last years of my studies, having the opportunity to gain a more pragmatic experience regarding various small-scale projects and architecture connected fields.
